What we do not know, we do not invent
Where a figure is not published, we leave the field empty and say why. A blank is better than an estimate that reads like a fact.

- Nursing homes in every state and territory that holds one, from the federal CMS certification file, plus state-licensed assisted living wherever the state publishes its own directory.
- CMS publishes an inspection record for every federally certified nursing home, so where there is one we show it — and where a community is state-licensed only, we say that instead of inventing a rating.
- Neither CMS nor the state directories publish open beds or waiting lists, so we show neither. You get the community's own contact details.
Why you can trust the results
The list of homes comes from the official register — CMS Care Compare and state licensing registers — not from whoever pays to be listed. That is why the results include homes that advertise nowhere else.
